I am a big advocate of connecting with the natural world and with the seasons. Taking time out from our busy schedules to stop and notice what’s happening outdoors.

Combining this with nature inspired creativity is great for wellbeing. 

My workshops draw on my experience as a landscape designer, wildlife gardener and nature writer. They are designed to be fun, seasonal, educational and feel good.

Colour Factory Workshops

Try a nature inspired workshop at our artist studio in the heart of Winchester. Our unique setting in the old park keepers lodge on the edge of River Park, benefits from being near a nature reserve, river and the city centre. Workshops are held in our purpose built teaching spaces overlooking the delightful wildlife friendly garden.

I run workshops at several beautiful locations near Winchester. Most recently at a flower farm and at a luxury hotel.

Sessions are full of nature and gardening tips, fun storytelling, seasonal folklore and examples of wild nature.

I'm lucky enough to run some of my workshops with my mate and talented artist Jenny Muncaster. She's full of fantastic, arty ideas inspired by my seasonal plant and nature knowledge. 

Our Nic&Jen workshops are always fun filled! You don't need any artistic experience to create something great whether we're doodling, printing, working with pressed flowers or displaying grasses and seed heads in clay flower frogs.  And of course, there's always cake!

Some of my workshops include a gentle nature stroll. I reveal the seasonal highlights to notice outdoors, pointing out the signs of the season, wild plants and the folklore, traditions and uses associated with them.  Sometimes we collect small quantities of plant material to use in the workshop - always responsibly and with respect for the natural world.

My workshops are based at The Colour Factory or other charming locations around Winchester.

Nic&Jen

I’m collaborating with local artist Jenny Muncaster to create uplifting workshops and films embracing our shared passions for seasonal nature and art. We initially produced our Nic&Jen films to help stay motivated during lockdown and when we posted them on social media, they proved a real hit with our followers. 

Now we’ve developed a series of fun filled workshops designed to connect you with nature and immerse you in creativity.
