I find the best way to start any potential design commission is to meet in your garden. This free, no-obligation consultation is an opportunity to discuss your aspirations for the garden and bring these together with my knowledge and expertise.

Your brief is paramount to the design process and once we have established this I will provide you with a quotation and we’ll agree on timescales.

The first step once you have commissioned a design. I work with a professional surveyor who will provide a scaled topographic survey of your garden. I use this survey to scale my designs and you will receive a hard copy of the survey at the end of the project.

I’ll also conduct my own site analysis, considering the space you have, the aspect and light, the boundaries, taking photographs and small soil samples for analysis.

This is where you magic happens! I create a scaled design for your garden, including the hard and soft landscaping we discussed in the brief.

The design comes with a mood board of photos, illustrating the style of the garden, the type of materials and features I am recommending and giving a flavour of my suggested plants and planting combinations.

We meet again so I can present my designs to you and answer any questions you have. We agree the time you need to consider the designs and arrange a review meeting to discuss the final plan.
